History Channel Vetoes ‘The Kennedys’

The History Channel has canceled plans to air "The Kennedys," a highly anticipated miniseries about the famous political family that stars Katie Holmes and Greg Kinnear.

"Upon completion of the production of 'The Kennedys,' History has decided not to air the eight-part miniseries on the network," the network told Access in a statement on Friday. "While the film is produced and acted with the highest quality, after viewing the final product in its totality, we have concluded this dramatic interpretation is not a fit for the History brand.

Evan Rachel Wood has said "True Blood" fans can expect an "epic" fight between her character, Queen Sophie Anne of Louisiana, and Stephen Moyer's Bill Compton, when the show returns this summer.

"Of course there will be a resolution. And we'll just have to wait and see what happens, but it will be epic," Evan said of the fight scene between the two vampires that began just as Season 3 of the Alan Ball series wrapped up last fall, when asked by reporters following her 2011 Winter TCA panel for her HBO miniseries "Mildred Pierce."

Eva Longoria's Las Vegas restaurant and nightclub have filed for bankruptcy, Access Hollywood has learned.

According to a statement issued to Access on Friday by the actress's rep, Eva Longoria and her Beso Restaurant and Eve Nightclub at the Crystals Plaza in MGM's City Center have filed a controlled and organized Chapter 11 bankruptcy.
