He?s always up for a good time, and last night (June 14) Bono was spotted at the opening night of ?Spider-Man Turn Off the Dark? in New York City.
The ?Where the Streets Have No Name? singer posed for the paparazzi outside the Foxwoods Theatre and mingled with The Edge, President Bill Clinton, and Robert De Niro.
Bono?s U2 bandmate/co-writer The Edge told press, "It's such a feeling of elation. We feel like the show's really come through the fire. Really what we always set out to do? move people, get into the characters, take them on a journey? we feel it is now."
"Wow, what a sense of achievement tonight," added Bono. ?Some people won't like it. Some people want to kill us. We've come in from the outside?."
As for Neil Patrick Harris? derogatory comments about ?Spider-Man? at the Tony Awards, Bono shared, "We would have been hurt if they ignored us. It's a bit of a sport around here. It's with great affection. If Spider-Man were just to disappear, certainly the late-night comics would be very sad."
