With their 3-1 win over the Yankees on Friday afternoon, The Cubs have won 4 of their last 5 and done so against two division leaders. Doug Davis had his best performance as a Cub, throwing 7.1 innings while allowing only 1 run against the vaunted Yankee lineup. Aramis Ramirez led the offense with two rbi singles in the1st and 3rd innings, scoring Starlin Castro both times.
This recent streak of good baseball doesn't make up for the fact that we have the second worst winning percentage in all of baseball right now, but it will make the my drinks taste better tonight.
To quote the worst play-by-play announcer in the majors, "don't stop now boys".
