Dane Reynolds is without question one of the most progressive masterminds the surfing world has ever seen and has successfully displayed his raw approach to dismantling waves both in and out of a singlet. The talented Californian’s calm demeanor towards competition has left many confused while several of his fellow competitors have attempted to follow in his footsteps. Surfline.com put together an impressive video segment of Dane while he was lighting up his hometown of Ventura, California.

And now a pic for the slightly rougher edged Ocean Defenders... A demonstration of the technique called "Tonic Immobility" a technique which puts sharks in a natural state of paralysis. It is induced by massaging their snouts in a specific spot close to their eyes. This demonstrates that sharks are not simply mindless killers and man-eaters but are intelligent and sensitive creatures which are also extremely threatened by human exploitation for their fins and jaws. DO NOT TRY THIS YOURSELF!
