Puyehue Volcano, Santiago Chile : The volcano erupted in southern Chile Saturday june 4, 2011, a huge cloud of smoke and ash into the sky, and prompted officials to evacuate about 600 of the population. There were no reports of casualties. The authorities had placed in the vicinity of a volcano on Saturday morning on alert after a series of earthquakes and the outbreak began in the afternoon.
